"Conference on Open Source for Education (COSE) Announced"

"There has already been significant interest from the UK and world wide.
To be held in July 2000, it will raise awareness of the potential for 
Open Source for education. Information on the first conference of its type 
. . .

The site was opened Jan 14, 2000!
