Well, I don't want to split hairs, but I don't think it's AMAZING.
Now, I do think it's impressive!
OK, having said that, it's pleasing to be sort of ahead of the curve on
something.
I will remind everyone that the computer business is a funny place, where
lots of things can happen overnight, and usually do (and, as Lewis Carrol told
us about Wonderland, Nothing is as it seems). Stuff goes on quietly in the
corner, and it can explode into the mainstrean VERY quickly. There's
a lot of stuff that grows exponentially fopr a while... as we may recall,
exponential curves take "hell's own time to get started, but once they
do, get outta the way!".
It's too early to tell if Linux has exponential growth, but it's not merely
linear growth anymore. Expect more of the same, at a greater pace.
An exciting time to participate!
