[KLUG Driftwood] CTI Information?

Anyone know of a good technical forum/site for CTI information?

CTI = Computer Telephony Integration.

Supposedly our (VOIP, Nortel BCM) phone system is CTI "ready". But
finding out what the @*&$*(@$%@$*(!@#& @!$*(&@*()!$&()!@$_!*@&$ heck
that actually means is proving to be REALLY REALLY hard.

If you trip a flag in OpenGroupware it will display a little phone icon
next to telephone numbers. Clicking on the icon causes it to call out
to a script with a bunch of parameters. With this script & information
one can (according to the text) dial the number automatically from the
station associated with the user. So: look up the contact, click the
icon, pick up your phone handset.... This recipe exists for Asterisk
but should be possible with any "CTI Ready" phone system.

So I'm looking about for information on how to make a (?)CTI RPC(?) call
to make a "CTI Ready" phone system do something. And I can't find the
even most meager @&*$^(@_% *(@#&!*(&$()$_&^&*)^*(&^ scrap of technical
information.

I've posted to comp.dcom.sys.nortel and comp.dcom.telecom.tech and the
"The Computer Telephony Portal" - all met with resounding silence.

Maybe this is a really trivial and stupid question - and certainly
beyond my field of experience - but I can't find *ANYTHING*.
