No, it doesn't have to be TokenRing, but they will use whatever they can get.

If I want real cheap ethernet I could use those Realtek8139 PCI cards that 
I picked up for $6 each from a distributor in Chicago (not all about 
money).  But we would need an ethernet hub.  I already have my 
AdvanceStack24 port out on lone to my church and my 24port Dlink 10/100 
switch is flaking.

Anyone want to volunteer a hub? Which could then be replaced by a switch 
when funds come up. Any NICs??
