Assuming you have M$ client workstations, I would think setting up a
Samba server to act as PDC would do you fine. I'm not sure how many
clients a single server would support. But you could do login scripts,
group memberships, etc. pretty nicely.

If you go that route, I *highly* recommend the O'Reilly Samba book. I
think the PDF version is free, but it's nice to have the hardcopy as a
desk reference.

As a K12 Novell admin myself, I am very interested in hearing about
what you end up doing. Please do share your resolve to this.

I work for Bridgman Public Schools. We recently went thru major
Department
restructoring, including revamping the servers. Yea. Now we are
running
RH8 on P4 2.8GHz systems, replacing the 7 year old Novell4.11 systems.
We
are looking into Teacher and Student user drives with Samba or NFS.

Any recomendations, websites, bits of help?
